Task

Modify the system of automation of business processes for large regional trading network of shops "Optima" with integration of SAP for Retail into ERP system.

Solution

  1. We examined the application, studied its problems that the current product cannot handle. We analyzed the business processes of the trade network "Optima" and revealed its needs. Then we made a list of functions that should be implemented in the framework of this project:
    1. Unification of separate actions for assortment management, stock management and price formation.
    2. Simplifying fixation of decisions taken by users.
    3. Providing adequate communication of business users with SAP ERP for Retail system.
  2. The customer was interested in our proposals and we have drafted the terms of reference together. After he approved it, we moved on to the development stage.
  1. The results of programmers were thoroughly tested by our test department.
  2. After development of the system was successfully implemented and all coordination work was done, the system was uploaded to the customer's server, and we provided the necessary access rights and technical documentation to the company's employees. Our experts conducted training for the staff of the "Optima" company on how to work with a new system.

Results

  • The system is a web application (J2EE platform) and a front end for an existing SAP ERP for Retail System.
  • Integration with SAP ERP.
  • After introduction of the system the efficiency of the company’s management has increased as a result of using more convenient work instruments. This significantly reduced time to introduce new products and change the assortment matrix. Also, the number of errors when entering data into the system significantly decreased.
  • Gradual input on a phased basis and modification of the material master record (MMR).
  • Maintaining minimum and maximum safety stock for the materials in the context of store formats.
  • Adding products to an assortment and excluding of materials from the assortment of shops.
