This project was implemented in accordance with the technical specification provided by the client, using an iterative development approach. After the initial release, further refinements and enhancements were carried out.
The following monitoring capabilities were implemented:- Tracking the status of various systems, including SAP systems and many of their key components and subsystems (ABAP and Java stacks, disk space availability, PI alerts, printer failures, and others).
- CCMS‑based monitoring in line with SAP certification requirements, covering fault alerting and acknowledgement, threshold settings for monitors (MTE – Monitoring Tree Elements), and reading current performance‑monitoring attribute values.
- Availability checks for network‑connected devices (Ping), replication monitoring for SQL Server via log analysis, FTP server checks, and monitoring of systems supporting the SNMP protocol (running processes, disk space, and so on), as well as a flexible mechanism for analysing arbitrary text logs.
Once all development work had been successfully completed and agreed with the client, the system was deployed on the customer’s server, appropriate access rights were granted to system administrators, and technical documentation was prepared and delivered.
The client was fully satisfied with the result and subsequently commissioned us to develop a mobile version of the ServPatrol solution.
