Increase BORK’s e-commerce sales by integrating and enhancing the functionality of the culinary website.
Goal
BORK is an international premium brand of home and kitchen appliances. Its portfolio includes 58 product categories and accessories, represented across 76 branded boutiques. The company employs over 1,800 people worldwide and has been operating in the market for more than 20 years.

The company develops two independent online platforms:
  • the official BORK e-commerce store;
  • a culinary portal featuring signature recipes from world-class chefs, showcasing the brand’s appliances.

Our solution
We discussed the client’s requirements for enhancing the existing website and refined the solution accordingly.

A user account area was implemented, including the option to sign in via social media accounts. Each recipe page was enhanced with an “Appliances” section, providing details on the kitchen equipment required for the selected recipe. In addition, the “My Appliances” feature was developed, allowing users to add purchased appliances to their personal account.

We also introduced a “Favorite Recipes” feature, enabling users to save recipes for quick access.

The website was integrated with the existing mobile application for iOS and Android, and text-based push notifications about new recipes were configured to be sent to users’ mobile devices.
  1. A user account with social media login makes the experience faster and more convenient for users.
  2. Search by ingredients and appliances helps users quickly find relevant recipes.
  3. Push notifications increase engagement and bring users back to the website.
  4. Integration with the iOS and Android mobile app expanded audience reach.
  5. The recipe platform became a source of targeted traffic for the BORK online store.
